"But even if God does not rescue us, we want you as king to know that we will not worship the gold statue you set up.”

Daniel went to Arioch and said to him, “Bring me before the king, and I will give him the interpretation.”

God had granted Daniel kindness and compassion from the chief eunuch.

 For this is what love for God is: to keep his commands.

The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

 Little children, let us not love in word or speech, but in action and in truth.

 Children, let no one deceive you. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.

The anointing you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need anyone to teach you.

And this is the promise that he himself made to us: eternal life.

I am writing to you, young men, because you have conquered the evil one.
